Jeff Pickle

Jeff lives on Keystone lake just West of Tulsa. Jeff's mom and dad met at a Bob Wills barn dance by Taylors Inn near Poteau,OK.  He was raised in North West Oklahoma and grew up listening to Bob Wills music.  This led to his love of jazz and country music.  He started playing guitar when he was six.  In 1980 Jeff was selected as the lead guitar player for the All State Jazz Band and went on to study jazz improvisation and music theory under a scholarship to SWOSU.  He has since been in many bands including spending four years on the road touring with the Face Value Band.  His love for country music has produced some great bands including the Mingo Valley Boys.  He has also played guitar with some of the great legends of Hank Thompson's infamous Brazo Valley Boys.  Jeff has studied privately with Tommy Allsup, who was the band leader of Bob Wills Texas Playboys.  "Tommy was the best band leader ever, and I was blessed to have spent time learning from him!" - Jeff Pickle.

Jeff is our band leader.  He can play all the instruments in the band, lead guitar, pedal steel guitar, fiddle, keyboards. bass, drums and he sings too.  But if asked, Jeff will just say he was promoted from head broom pusher to lead dancer.  "But I still have to sweep up after the last dance!" - Jeff Pickle.
